The Grease Pressurised Follower series are specifically designed for the semi bulk storage, transportation and dispensing of all grades of grease.
The Grease Pressurised Follower series are based on a reduced footprint to ensure effective space utilisation when loading into shipping containers and confined areas.
The design of the Grease Pressurised Follower series is based on customer input and field feedback to ensure ease of operation and maximum service life.
This feedback has resulted in a unique design that addresses the concerns and problems traditionally encountered with conventional style grease containers.
Design
The Grease Pressurised Follower series are circular in design to allow the inclusion of a unique flexible pressurised follower system.
The follower operates as a flexible wiper, scraping product from the walls during decanting to minimise residual and cross contamination concerns.
The circular design also offers greater strength when compared with square designs, allowing the area above the follower to be pressurised with low pressure compressed air.
Air pressure (28-32 kPa) acting on top of the follower assists in
the downward movement to minimise void pockets occurring and to force feed product to the suction side of the pump.
A combination pressure and vacuum vent is fitted to prevent over pressurisation of the vessel and to allow product draw off, should air pressure fail or not be available.
The Grease Pressurised Follower series are Bottom Discharge and Bottom Fill via a 3 ball valve complete with camloc adapter and dust cap.
Materials of construction include Carbon Steel or Stainless Steel.
Minimal Residual
The circular design, flexible follower and discharge sump configuration ensure product residual is minimised.
Traditionally less than 5-10 kg is retained within the sump and discharge pipe.
Reduced Contamination
With air pressure acting on top of the Follower, external air borne contaminates (dust, moisture, etc) are excluded from the product.
Safety
The Grease Pressurised Follower series are designed to be moved with a forklift and incorporate skid pockets that fully encase the forklift tynes for operator safety.
Four way fork entry is provided as standard. Lifting lugs are optional for top lifting with slings or cables.
A Coaming is fitted to offer protection to ancillary equipment fitted in the top shell.
Robust Design
The circular design is inherently extremely robust, to ensure maximum service life in severe operating environments.
Areas subject to wear, tear and damage are heavily reinforced with striker and guard plates.

Grease Gland Assembly For fitting standard pump spears as utilised in 205 and 60 litre drums, the grease gland assembly allows easy fitment to the RTM series Grease-Tainers. The pump spear is inserted via a polyurethane seal into the 3 full bore ball valve. The gland nut is then tightened locking the pump spear in place. Standard sizes available are 60.3, 41.5 and 25.4mm. By utilising a standard ball valve the grease gland can be rapidly removed and camlocs fitted as conditions require.Low Level Alarm Clip on level alarm with a 90db audible buzzer and amber coloured warning light. The alarm is snapped into place over the Perspex sight tube of the RTM series and adjusted to the desired level. The unit senses the presences of the existing ferrous weight. The 9v replaceable battery will last for approximately 20 minutes continuous use when triggered. Unloading Stands Unloading stands to suit the Grease Pressurised Follower series of IBCs.The standard unloader is a fabricated steel stand to bring the IBC to a preferred working height, typically 100, 250 or 500mm. The stand is fitted with guides inclined at 15o to firmly locate the IBC unit.Pneumatic Regulators Pneumatic (air-line) regulators adjustable to 32kPa downstream pressure complete with gauge are available. Regulators can be fitted with locking capability if required to minimise unauthorised access. The regulators can either be hard pipe mounted or supplied with air-line couplings for rapid removal.Lifting Lugs When top lifting with slings or cables is required four lifting lugs are fitted below the clamp-band assembly. The lifting lugs are fitted using doubler pads, welded to the shell of the IBC. The lifting lugs are fitted above the forklift pockets to minimise footprint requirements.Solid Follower Where high temperature conditions (above 95o C) or chemical compatibility issues exist, solid Followers are available. The solid Follower utilises either Nitrile or Viton as the wiper blade. The wiper is sandwiched between either stainless steel or aluminium sections.
